ICE ®All-Stars - Indianapolis, IN

Gary Layton

Gary’s passion for coaching cheerleading was discovered by chance after he opened his own youth fitness center that was focused on all aspects of sports and activities for young athletes.  This quickly transitioned into a starting a cheer program and the rest is history.  Gary has experience coaching all levels and age groups within competitive cheer, he also coached a few season with the Richmond-Burton High School cheer teams.  When Gary is not in the gym coaching team or tumble classes you will still find him in the gym building something or dreaming of routines.  His dedication and love for these athletes is immeasurable.

Raquelle Sample

Raquelle is from Northern Illinois and is new to the ICE program. She began her cheerleading career when she was 7 years old and then continued on as a coach and has been for 6 years now. She has experience with levels 1-4. She has done choreography for high schools and all star teams all around the state of Illinois. Outside the gym Raquelle loves running, fishing, photography, and all things beauty related. She is currently attending Tricoci University for cosmetology. She is very excited to begin her career at ICE Barrington and coach the best athletes around.

Ashley Quinones

Ashley is a homegrown IL girl and comes with 15 years of experience coaching all-star cheerleading.  Ashley has had great success with her teams in the past, winning numerous titles and nationals.  Some of her most recent honors include coaching teams to championships at Cheersport Nationals and the D2 Summit.  Although winning competitions is amazing, Ashley finds her biggest successes in watching athletes grow in life and seeing them evolve into strong confident individuals.  Nothing is greater than watching young athletes be proud of themselves.  When not at the gym you can find Ashley playing with her 3 year old twins and doing some sort of craft or art project.

Jake grew up in central Wisconsin, where he started all-star cheerleading at the age of 6.  He cheered for a team at his local YMCA, then later a larger all-star program where he cheered for a combined total of 10 years.  After that Jake transitioned to Royalty Athletics cheering and coaching at the age of 16.  There he competed at Summit and NCA twice and helped coach junior 3, mini 1, and a senior 2 team.  Currently Jake coaches tumbling at ICE Aurora working with Lady Lightning, Halo, and Frost in addition to coaching classes and team in Barrinton.
